When should a child be referred to a neuropsychologist? · There is not one answer for this, but the following are several scenarios when a referral may be considered: · A child has a known or suspected neurological condition that may be interfering with their academic or emotional functioning at school. · A child has already received school-based psychological services, but is not improving as expected. · A child’s difficulties do not seem to fit a clear-cut diagnostic category and/or treatment intervention. · You are always welcome to call (603) 357-8378 to discuss your concerns and whether a referral may be useful.
