When should a child be referred to a neuropsychologist?

· There is not one answer for this, but the following are several scenarios when a referral may be considered:

· A child has a known or suspected neurological condition that may be interfering with their academic or emotional functioning at school.

· A child has already received school-based psychological services, but is not improving as expected.

· A child’s difficulties do not seem to fit a clear-cut diagnostic category and/or treatment intervention.

· You are always welcome to call (603) 357-8378 to discuss your concerns and whether a referral may be useful.
